An exciting future in the Guard offers huge benefits—and can include a $20,000 bonus. Enlistment Bonuses are available for recruits who meet education and contracting requirements:
- Have a high school diploma (or higher)
- Score at least 50 on the ASVAB
- Commit to serve for at least six years
- Qualify for and select a Critical Skill or Low-Density MOS
How do you determine whether you meet these criteria? Contact your Recruiter. They’ll have the answers you need. Here are a few more questions you might want to ask them:
- What are the top five Critical Skill jobs in my state?
- How and when are bonuses paid?
- Are any bonuses available for prior service, re-enlistment, officers or warrant officers?
- Can I get a bonus and still qualify for the GI Bill and other education programs?
